After the release of various CDs with numerous orchestras (Ghosts of the twentes, Red Pellini Gang etc.) in which Red Pellini expressed himself mostly through the arrangements and the reinterpretation of Bix Beiderbecke's jazz repertoire, on the occasion of his relocation to Japan, Red has decided to realize a solo project dedicated to his unique way of playing the baritone sax. A very different style from the traditional way of playing this instrument. Pellini , in fact, through the years has been trying to achieve a volume and attack of sound which resembles a trumpet and this made him a very popular and recognizable figure in the italian jazz scene . In the album "Roma-Tokyo" Red Pellini is accompanied by Giorgio Cuscito and Adriano Urso on piano, Guido Giacomini on double-bass and Alfredo Romeo on drums.
